Photo Booth Hire in Colchester
You can make the photography a little event of its own. With photo booth hire in Colchester from Period Photo Booth, guests can watch genuine historic equipment at work, gather for a photograph and take home a print. Whether the occasion is a wedding, school leavers' celebration or company party, we can help you choose how much of a feature the photography should become.
Make the Photography Part of the Party
The Vintage Photo Booth brings an original 1910 obscura camera into an open-air photographic setting. A converted HMV television and gramophone that prints the photographs are part of the working setup. Guests can have a picture on their own or gather with others. We have photographed groups of 20 together, subject to the space available.
If your event has a theme, the photographic setting can reflect it. Available vintage backdrops, original period props and optional personalised prints give you different ways to make the photographs your own. For an awards evening or brand event, agreed artwork or a logo can appear on prints. For a birthday or wedding, you may prefer names and a date, or no personalisation at all.
There is also a wider choice for a themed celebration. A 1920s party could combine period photography with Art Deco-inspired event décor, while a 1940s occasion might call for authentic period furnishings. For a 1980s party, retro games and decade styling offer another atmosphere. You can explore the separate Decadent Times event décor and theming collection and enquire about what could suit your plans. Décor hire is a separate optional service, not part of a standard photo booth booking.
Weddings in and Around Colchester
Layer Marney Tower's Long Gallery, near Colchester, accommodates around 180 to 200 evening reception guests. Wivenhoe House's Garden Suite accommodates up to 150 evening reception guests. For either venue, think about whether guests would enjoy a visible photographic attraction during the reception or a quieter discovery later in the evening.
The Antique Grandfather Clock Photo Booth provides that second experience. Inside the genuine Victorian clock are a camera and touchscreen; guests can take photographs themselves and collect the print. An optional host can be arranged. If you are looking for wedding photo booth hire in Colchester, we can discuss the available room and the kind of reception you are planning.
Photographs for School and Family Celebrations
For leavers' events involving Colchester Prep & High School or Philip Morant School and College, pupils can take photographs in friendship groups, with professional hosting available if the event is busy. A birthday or anniversary may be more about several generations gathering for one picture. Optional guest books and personalised photo strips can give families another way to keep the photographs.
